On the occasion of Metacomet Land Trust's 20th anniversary our Board of Directors wanted to recognize our founders. It was their vision and dedication that created and developed the organization in its early days and laid the foundation for the work we have been able to accomplish over the last twenty years.

At the same time, however, the Board of Directors feels it important to call attention to individuals and organizations that are working today to preserve and protect our environment, who are calling attention to the challenges facing us due to climate change or who are promoting a different approach to the use of our energy resources.

It is my pleasure to inform you that we would like to recognize the contributions of the Manchaug Pond Association and the leadership you have shown to protect the Pond and its environment through the programs you have implernented with your 319 Nonpoint Source Pollution Grant. We thank you, also, for the time and effort that you and your Association members have contributed to maintaining the health of this vital body of water.

Please be our guest at our 20th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, November 22 at the Franklin Elks Lodge at 1077 Pond Skeet in Franklin. We will start at 5:30 p.m. with appetizers and drinks and will make presentations beginning at 6:30 p.m.
